Helping Muslim families raise children with a values-first understanding of money

WHAT IS EK RAQM?

Teaching money the way schools don’t

Children grow up surrounded by money, spending it, asking for it, and watching it move through everyday life, yet they’re rarely guided on how to understand it, respect it, or use it with care. What is taught often overlooks what matters most to Muslim families: intention, balance, generosity, and barakah. Ek Raqm was created to gently bring those values back into the conversation.

MONEY, THE ISLAMIC WAY

In Islam, money is more than currency – it is an amanah, a trust. Ek Raqm helps families teach children that money is a responsibility, not just a reward, and that knowing when to save, when to spend, and when to give matters deeply. Children learn that generosity increases barakah, and that thoughtful choices are more important than big amounts. These lessons are rarely taught in schools, yet they shape a child for life.
